Portrait Miniatures - After an initial discussion, the artist can calculate a fee based on individual requirements, format and size.  Once agreed, and prior to beginning any preliminary work i.e. sketches, photography, a deposit of 50% of the total fee would be requested.  The balance of the fee being payable upon completion of the work and prior to delivery.  Full fee structure and Terms and Conditions supplied on request.

Susan works with traditional materials, using vellum or ivory, (if available), as the support and water based medium.   Only recycled ivory is used.

Whilst it is more advantageous to meet the subject, this is not always convenient or possible.  In these circumstances, the work can be executed from a selection of good, clear photographs.  Details of specific requirements can be sent on request.

Prices start at £375 for a plumbago (graphite) or single colour (sanquine)  portrait to £950 for a water based portrait, dependent upon complexity of the subject.  An extra fee is charged for each additional subject.  Details of charges are available in fee structure which is available upon request.

Framing: A miniature is always supplied ready framed and this will be discussed with the client.  Various formats are available i.e. oval, circular, rectangular and square and all frames are bespoke.

Portrait commission - pencil, water colour,  - Prices range from £350 - £2,000 depending on support, medium and size of work.  A full fee structure can be provided upon request. 

Sittings required: 3-4 (2-3hrs per sitting)
